Connectivity and collision constrained opportunistic routing for emergency communication using UAV

Emergency communication is essential for search and rescue operations in the aftermath of natural disasters. Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV)-assisted networking emerging as a promising method to establish emergency communication. UAVs can intelligently self-adjust their positions, communicate while moving at high speeds, effectively capture relay disaster site information Terrestrial Base Station (TBS). However, data forwarding from TBS challenging because former’s dynamic network topology, mobility resource constraints. Designing efficient routing protocols crucial context these challenges. To best our knowledge, none previous works has integratively addressed post-disaster concerns like coverage requirements, inter-UAV collision avoidance reliable multi-hop absence trajectory planning. This paper proposes novel Multi-hop Opportunistic 3D Routing (MO3DR) algorithm dissemination. The MO3DR employs constraints selecting next node maximize expected progress towards TBS.
